Iran Declares It May Rejoin US Nuclear Talks if Approached with 'Dignity' and 'Respect'

Iran is ready to restart atomic discussions with Washington on condition that it is approached with "respect" and "honor", Iran's foreign minister has declared.

The Iranian diplomat declared exclusively dialogue produced results, and shared new appeals had originated from mediators to restart discussions with the American leadership. He asserted Iran possessed no secret atomic facilities, and Tehran had not yet reached a point to authorize the International Atomic Energy Agency to access struck enrichment centers for protective measures.

Walking a Challenging Route

The foreign minister is treading a challenging route since Iran aims to avoid be seen to be operating from a situation of disadvantage, and he emphatically stated that Iran had emerged stronger in military terms and mentally from the coordinated strike on its enrichment centers in June.

He was talking at a security conference in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "an absolute privilege to process nuclear material within its borders that it will never give up" – the primary cause of the deadlock in the previous talks.

Previous Negotiations Unexpectedly Terminated

The prior phases of talks between the US and Iran were brought to an abrupt and hostile termination on 12 June when the Israeli government, with Washington's assistance, struck Iranian nuclear sites in a 12-day war that culminated with the US president asserting the locations had been destroyed. Afterward, European countries used their privilege to reinstate international penalties, but Iran asserts they have not had a major impact.

Ideal Resolution Suggested

Iran's diplomats stated they felt they had reached a "perfect agreement" to the uranium processing matter in earlier negotiations, when it was decided an local partnership with American involvement could enrich uranium. Both sides would have been able to assert triumph since local refinement would have remained and the US could be assured that Iran's enrichment initiative was solely for peaceful purposes.

It had not been agreed in the talks that US nuclear scientists could function on Iranian soil, but that was a natural consequence of the partnership suggestion. Diplomats claimed on multiple occasions they had secured an understanding with Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff only for the agreement to collapse due to "spoilers in Washington".

Current Position

Iran's diplomats said the partnership proposal was now no longer available, but it seems highly likely the offer could be reintroduced in certain ways if negotiations resume.

The American leader recently said he had been getting signals that Iran wanted to resume discussions, but confidentially Iran's diplomats claim they are not yet obtaining clear proposals from America either directly or from significant local go-betweens, such as the Qatari government, the Egyptian leadership, the Omani authorities and the Saudi kingdom. The Tehran's diplomatic corps has been charged of inactivity in the face of Trump's direct instinctive approach, but Iran states negotiations is not part of a spectacle.

Negotiating Stance

In his address to the conference, aimed to portray the US as a controlling nation that abuses the concept of international law, Araghchi said the two-week conflict demonstrated the clash could not be resolved by military means. He said the strikes started with a US demand for an complete Tehran capitulation and ended with an unconditional call for a ceasefire.

Iran is assured the initial Israeli attacks were mounted with complete American awareness and collaboration, making faith hard to restore.

Negotiations Remains the Final Resolution

Araghchi declared: "Tehran was not the one that had deserted negotiations; it was America and the European states that had repeatedly attempted to impose their demands during the discussions. Negotiations can still be active and continues the primary solution to resolve disputes, but its requirements, guidelines and tenets must be followed."

Restoration and Rebuilding

In what is described by Tehran representatives as the battle of repair and recovery, the foreign minister claimed he was certain Iran's military capacities "are considerably enhanced than prior to 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been restored. We gained multiple understandings from this conflict; we have come to know our internal vulnerabilities and the vulnerabilities of the enemy."

He stated: "We effectively endured this conflict. Our nuclear technology, which they planned to eliminate, remains in place. The installations and equipment, if eliminated, will be restored; what is crucial is the resolve of the nation of Iran and then the national cohesion that they aimed at, but did not succeed to shatter. The Iranian people have grown stronger, more united, and more supportive of the government and the country in the wake of this assault."
